Sorry, OJ.

Fox will run an interview in which OJ will discuss "how he would have committed" the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.

Just a hunch, but I think that this would include "stabbing them repeatedly." Because, you know, that's how he did it in the non-hypothetical world.

Anyway, here's how The Spectre handled this case, twelve years ago:

You learn something new. . .

A few years back, on a whim, [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and I picked up a copy of The Broke Diaries, which was a funny little book.

Imagine my surprise to discover that Angela Nissel, the author of that book, is also a writer and story editor for Scrubs.

I'm guessing she's not worrying about being broke any more.

Time Splitters: Future Perfect, $9.99

Joining Psychonauts, there's yet another nifty PS2 game for $10: TIme Splitters: Future Perfect. As first-person shooters go, this one's a blast.

More shopping deals (counting down to Black Friday)

Past posts:

Deep Discount DVD's 20% off sale

Amazon/Warner TV sale and Subterranean Press 40% off sale

Tons of DVD sales (including lots of box sets) at Amazon

Season 1 DVD sets at $15.98 a pop and other DVD sales.

As Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving, when all sorts of insane sales occur) approaches, don't forget to look over the Black Friday circulars to see what deals are worth camping out all night and then fighting through a crowd for (in my opinion, that would be none of them, but I'm not exactly a people person). Look here or here for deals.

Over at Amazon, no major new sales, but there are a handful of low prices (clearly aimed at the pre-Black Friday gift buyers):

Music:

Continuum (John Mayer): $9.99 (47% off).

Not Too Late (Norah Jones -- note that it's a pre-order, and will be too late for $Winterholiday): $9.99 (47% off).

Awake (Josh Grobin): $9.72 (49% off).

Love, Pain, and the whole crazy thing (Keith Urban): $9.72 (49% off).

Once Again (John Legend): $9.72 (49% off).

Calendars (I normally just wait until January 1 and buy 'em at 50% off at the mall, but 40% discounts are pretty tempting):

The Book Lover's Page-A-Day Calendar 2007: $7.17 (40% off)

The Far Side Gallery 2007 Off-the-wall Page a Day Calendar: $8.39 (40% off), and all of Larsen's royalties go to Conservation International.

Mary Engelbreit's The Happy Side of Me 2007 Day-to-Day Calendar: $7.79 (40% off).

DVDs:

Lady in the Water (Widescreen): $17.98 (38% off)

Little Miss Sunshine: $15.98 (47% off)

The Ant Bully: $16.87 (42% off)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (widescreen): $14.99 (50% off)

Ice Age -- The Meltdown (Widescreen): $15.87 (47% off)

An Inconvenient Truth: $16.98 (43% off)

Cars: $15.99 (47% off).

The Devil Wears Prada: $16.87 (44% off).

Books:

Nature Girl (Carl Hiassen): $14.98 (42% off).

Cross (James North Patterson): $15.72 (44% off).

The Collectors (David Baldacci): $15.06 (44% off).

The Thirteenth Tale: A novel (Diane Setterfield): $14.41 (45% off)

Thirteen Moons: A Novel (Charles Frazier): $15.04 (44% off). I guess the new literary fiction trend is books with "thirteen" and "a novel" in the title.

The Road (Cormac McCarthy): $13.09 (45% off). This one comes highly recommended by [livejournal.com profile] robyn_ma (and sits on my wishlist as well).

We Few (David Weber and John Ringo): $4 (50% off).

Lost Girls (Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie): $47.25 (37% off). If anyone feels like buying me one super-expensive gift from my wish list, this would be the one. And it would piss of John Byrne, too!

Absolute Sandman (Gaiman and company): $62.37 (37% off).

The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins): $15.07 (44% off)

For One More Day (Mitch Albom): $11.74 (47% off)

I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence (Amy Sedaris): $16.16 (42% off).

The Greatest Story Ever Sold: The Decline and Fall of Truth from 9/11 to Katrina (Frank Rich): $14.38 (45% off)

The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game (Michael Lewis): $13.72 (45% off).

Free Vertigo #1s online!

DC/Vertigo has full downloadable #1 issues of various books online (in some cases, like Doom Patrol or Swamp Thing, "#1" means "first issue by a the guy who turned the book around). The format's not ideal (I much prefer .cbr to pdf), but the price is. Books include Hellblazer, Sandman, Human Target, The Invisibles, Y: The Last Man, Fables, and Transmetropolitan (amongst others).

Got NetFlix? No Weinsteins for you!

The Weinsteins have inked a deal with Blockbuster to make DVD releases from The Weinstein Company exclusive to Blockbuster.

I don't rent movies, so I don't have a horse in this race, but it still strikes me as a dick move. Then again, the Weinsteins are dicks, so it's logical.
