The Weinsteins have inked a deal with Blockbuster to make DVD releases from The Weinstein Company exclusive to Blockbuster.

I don't rent movies, so I don't have a horse in this race, but it still strikes me as a dick move. Then again, the Weinsteins are dicks, so it's logical.

I hope it was a very good deal. 'Cause otherwise I don't see why they'd want to cut themselves from the potential income from Netflix or any of the small timers out there...

Will all be big rentals, as will other movies of theirs. Even if you, personally, are a fan of absolutley ZERO of their offerings, you have to see how this is a decently big deal and a total dick move. It isn't as if they were just releasing movies that 6 people will see or hear of.

There's actually a lot of decent flicks on there. Not to mention things like Shut Up and Sing which probably won't come to a theater near me and which I would Netflix except I won't be able to and now I have to go to Cocksucker Video to rent it.

Either that or I just go to your crib and you act out the parts of all three Dixie Chicks. Better shave yer legs first.
