If you live in any state but Massachusetts or Maine, you're probably getting your mail delivered today, and can stop by the local library. Me, I'm off from work, which I'm celebrating by watching In Plain Sight and Party Down on the Tivo.

Today is the first time I've ever heard of this holiday. I could claim it's because I've lived in the Midwest my whole life, but apparently it's observed to some degree in Wisconsin. Plus you'd think I'd've heard of it in the context of the Red Sox games that have been played during the day on this holiday for years.
