Ack

It's bad enough that I misspelled Allen Ginsberg's first name in my review of Move Under Ground last month.

But in writing this month's column (yeah, it's late, I know), I just realized that I'd consistently referred to one of the true greats of the last century as "Fritz Lieber."

At least I caught this one before sending it off.

My only dislike in reading you is that I am forced to realize that I'm not as well-read as I should be.

Who's Fritz and why should I know him? ;) (more amusing because lieber means "rather" in German.)

"'I' before 'e' except after 'c'" dies hard. Especially when the name is pronounced "Lie-ber."

Silly Germans.

Is there a reason someone can't just go and fix the spelling in the other article?

Go on with your bad logophile self

Allen Ginsburg stayed at my parents' house when I was about 8years old. I drew a picture of him and he returned the favor. I still have that picture and my dad still has the tapes of his performance.
