The same article (on the Wilson Betemit/Danys Baez trade) ends by mentioning that the Braves now have, "the best Baez this side of Joan." Um, yeah. I adore Joan Baez, but her fastball sucks.

Sports "journalism" is an embarrassment to the fourth estate. Sports writers are, in general, the laziest, most inept writers on the face of the planet. Some of the writers on ESPN.com are worth it -- Stark, Jim Caple, Buster Olney, Keith Law, and especially the excellent Rob Neyer -- but I've found that the only consistently worthy writing on baseball is coming out of BaseballProspectus.com. The AP and local writers are a blight on the profession of writer.
