Two pieces of TV news.

I'm off to teach for the next couple of hours, but I had to post some good TV news, per [livejournal.com profile] laurel's always nifty TV Picks:

1. Jericho, a show that was an early lead in the "Brilliant but Cancelled" Dead Pool, has been picked up for a full season! Rock fucking on!

2. Medium will return in November! Of course, it'll air at 9PM on Wednesdays, which means that no one will watch it (unless Lost is in reruns), but at least it's back.

What's Jericho about again?

A small town cut off from the world after a nuclear bomb goes off nearby. (That's all I know; I haven't seen it yet.)

Apparently, there are more complex things going on than just post-nuclear survival. I've been taping the episodes, but haven't had a chance to watch any of them yet. My wife has, and speaks very highly of the large number of intriguing subplots and developments.

Cool. I knew I'd sound boring (even Moby Dick sounds boring and ridiculous if you sum it up in a sentence), but I couldn't resist chiming in.

I do have a thing for End Of The World As We Know It stories (I just read World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War). I should try this show, now that I have actual TV access again...
