Jerry Goldsmith

Crap -- I post about movies, and Jerry Goldsmith (who composed scores for a bunch of the ones I listed, as well as at least a dozen or two that everyone has seen) passes away. :-(

The pen is not only mightier than the sword, it's just as double-edged...

He was quite dead before you posted...yet Michael Bay still is amongst the living...

Ai.
There goes a good one. I have his original soundtrack for Legend.

Crap! I loved some of his scores, even though I wasn't that familar with his name til your post. I have dozens of film scores on CD. People used to make fun of me for it, but I love them. Now I wish I could afford some of the ones he'd done. :(

He did one of my all time favorite childhood live-changing movies: The Secret of NIHM :(

The Omen was one of my favorite soundtracks ever.

Aw, oh no. :( He was one of my favorites! How old was he, how did he die?
