In better TV news
Nov. 16th, 2005 08:22 amGilmore Girls, overall, was actually pretty good. But far from perfect, with way too much from the week before left unresolved, and some upcoming plotlines that look like they'll likely blow as much as they'll suck.
And is the WB contractually required to only show scenes from the final five minutes of an episode in their previews?
That said, there was, as always, some wonderful dialogue.
On the plus side, House was damned fine.
I'm really loving the slow build-up of chemistry between Cameron and Wilson. It's been nicely developing for a few weeks now, but this ratcheted it up a bit. I don't know if they'll actually go anywhere with it (given Cameron's nature), but it's a nice friendship to watch evolve (instead of the predictable Chase/Cameron pairing that was hinted at during the off-season). And House at the end, breaking into Stacy's psych eval, was creepy, while still being understandable. That said, I really wanted him to read a note that showed either her resignation letter, or a medical diagnosis saying she was dying due to a terminal case of being "just plain annoying."
I'm ashamed to say that Stacy probably got the line of the night -- "It's like watching Oscar Wilde and Noel Coward in the third grade." (likely misquoted, but the intent is there).

Date: 2005-11-16 03:16 pm (UTC)Creepy and NOT understandable. It's the first time ever I've really disliked House. He went TOO FAR. This was not for the good of the patient. This was purely self-serving.

I agree on Cameron/Wilson. I like Wilson's character more and more, as the one guy who really can stand up against House in most situations. Plus, he's reading a Baseball Abstract at the end! How dorky is that?
