I heard about that already. Of course publicity is publicity but really - not every comedian needs to be pushing a radical leftwing agenda and usually it's rather moronic when they get so far into their politics that even those that agree with them really want to hear them tell jokes (Margaret Cho is the classic case of teh once-funny comedian who just imploded under self-righteous indignation. I would say the same about Jeanine Garofalo but I never found her funny)
And I wouldn't say Larry the Cable Guy is a complete moron since he had Lewis Black do the introduction to his book.
I happen to think Larry's pretty funny, but then again, I assumed it was an act anyway. I didn't expect the man to actually BE like that. If he wants to pretend he's actually like that, I'd be fairly disgusted but ...it's still a funny act. I liked Oingo Boingo too... despite Danny Elfman's politics.
