Reasons not to watch Emily's Reasons Why Not

1. Because it wastes the talents of the beautiful-but-underappreciated Heather Graham, and the gorgeous and simply wonderful Nadia Dajani (best known as Amanda on Ned and Stacy).

2. Because it took nearly fifteen minutes for the first laugh to come.

3. Because even by the end of the show, there were fewer than five laughs.

4. Because there wasn't an original moment on the entire show.

5. Because it just plain sucks.

Seriously, a great cast and no laugh track don't make up for mediocre writing. I wanted to like this show -- I adored Graham's run on Scrubs -- but this was just weak.

I tivo'd it, because they have Victor Webster (better known as 'the lightning guy' in the waste of time that is Mutant X) and I love him. But... bleah. I am not looking forward to it now.

Hey man--you and Shade are the only two I know for sure have a comics collection. I realize you wacky kids are off to Arisia soon, so I'll keep it down to this question for now:

Have you got any Punisher titles? It's for something on one of my back burners--if no, then do you have any ideas where I could root for P-cover art?

Personally, I adored the show, and if Debra Messing was still best known for it, TV would be a better place.

And the pilot was written by the book's author. Which probably explains a lot.

Ha! I loved Ned and Stacey, and totally second the notion that Debra Messing shoulda just stopped right then and there, only to resurface later on when she'd aged gracefully and, like, matured. See Thomas Haden Church for prime example.

At any rate, vastly underrated show, that.

Skipped Emily, probably for the cross-promotion with the execrable Jake in Progress.
