What's the first thing Steve Jobs and John Lassiter do at Disney? Get them to scrap the unnecessary Toy Story 3 that Disney had announced.

Now if they can also kill the already-announced Cinderella 3, I'll be even happier.

From the trailers, it looks like Bambi meets his father. I bet the father then dies.

Look for this to be followed by:

Bambi 3: Bambi meets his grandparents. Who then die.

Bambi 4: Bambi's long-lost twin appears...and dies!

Bambi 5: Thumper's in the crosshairs.

Bambi 6: So long, Flower!

Etc.

Dad does survive...Bambi 2 is a midquel which occurs in the time frame of the original between his going off with Dad after his mom's death to when he returns with antlers...oh yes, Patrick Stewart voices his dad...

I expect Bambi 3 to be one where Thumper finds the Old Witch of the Forest who casts a spell to reverse time and prevent Bambi's mom from dying...Hey I should write Disney sequels!!

I had the very same thought.
Do we need a Bambi 2?

And this underscores the most important (yet somewhat overlooked) part of the buyout (not technically a merger, as Pixar is still considered to be separate). Not only did Jobs get a seat on the board, but Lasseter was given full control on the creative content side. So, finally, the person making the project decisions actually has a creative soul.

Michael Eisner thought so...

Ever since Hunchback of Notre Dame 2(Disney: 'That hack Victor Hugo got it so wrong!')...
