Because I know that if I were running a secret cabal designed to promote certain manga licenses (in the process committing some significant copyright violations as well as probably violating more than a few trade laws), I'd definitely trust a bunch of otaku to keep things secret.
And, as Heidi notes, how can you not believe a company that still believes that writing in ALL CAPS conveys a true sense of urgency (and no, it's not just the six paragraphs Heidi quotes -- it's an entire page of capitalization)?
