(Aside: I really should get a Farnsworth icon at some point).

WIth all the horrible things happening in the world, like obscene TSA overreactions which are more likely to make things worse, government officials passing laws to retroactively pardon themselves for war crimes ("oops. Was that an act of torture? Well not anymore!"), and "public interest" groups that have no interest whatsoever in helping the public (not to mention the usual trifecta of war, disease, and poverty), it's nice to get at least one small piece of good news:

The last two dating shows on TV have been canceled!

Hey, it's small, but it's a step in the right direction.

That comment should be corrected to say non-cable or something to that extent. Because MTV still has dating shows unfortunately (Next and Room Raiders at least) But then again MTV should be fined or something for completely failing to live up to its own name.

I won't miss them. The few times i channel hopped into one of those and watched for more than a few seconds i always thought the producers must really go out of their way to find the people they feature on those shows. And give them special instructions on how to behave as obnoxiously as possible.

A friend of mine laughs at the airport security. He has told me how explosives can be repackaged as the body/frame for cameras, laptop computers and even as a windbreaker jacket. If terrorist wanna get a bomb on a plane, our current security won't stop them.
