Holy shit! Lex fucking Luthor! Re-imagined, mind you. And I didn't even see it coming.

I love this concept. And the image of Alexis after the explosion was a perfect tribute to the classic Superboy-era Lex.

And Lobo joins Booster Gold as current heroes who've had cameos!

If only the next two weeks weren't frickin' reruns.

I think she's a descendent, not supposed to be Lex hirself. I like that they never mentioned her last name.

Where was Lobo? And on what grounds do you call him a "hero"?

It's really irritating to me that they call a teenage Clark "Superman." I assume it's because the Smallville people own the TV rights to the name "Superboy," but there must have been a more graceful way around the issue than calling him by his adult name.

As for Lobo, he was the guy from whom Alexis stole a speeder bike. And I called him a hero because we live in a day and age when Deadpool, Venom, Goldface, Major Disaster, and Black Adam manage to flip sides regularly, Lobo's stint with L.E.G.I.O.N. qualifies him.

And I'm with you completely on the Superman thing.

I didn't even make the connection until the "What did you do to me?!" scene, and then it suddenly hit me... aLEXis? D'oh! Then I had to go back and see if they mentioned her last name at all (which they didn't).

One of my favourite things about comic book superheroes is the way they can be reinvented in new and interesting ways. Of course it doesn't always work out, but sometimes when it does, it's pretty cool.

I had to back up and rewatch that bit too, just to confirm that it had actually been Lobo. I didn't catch Booster Gold though.

I figured it out when I noticed the logo.

It was a square with the borders formed by 2 interlocking L's, and the fact that she was a readhead was part revealing as well.

Which flip? :-) He spent a good period of time with the JSA as a member (having reformed from when he killed Billy's parents), then flipped back when he decided that their no-kill policy sucked. He pulled a bunch of folks (Atom Smasher, Brainwave, etc) in with him. He's essentially in a grey area now, ruling his own country with an iron fist (but not with Iron Fist, as that's a crossover that I suspect won't happen).

Three episodes have aired so far, all on The Kid's WB on the CW. I'm guessing all should be floating around in cyberspace.

The official title is "Legion of Super Heroes."
