I appreciate the suggestions about publishing, promoting, etc. But one thing I should have made clear earlier is that one of the primary reasons I'm doing this is for me. As I stated before, I haven't actually written anything more than a sentence or two in months. I want to force myself to write 251 reviews of 1000 words or more. That's 250,000 words this year. I need to kickstart my own writing habit.

If the reviews entertain or inform, that's wonderful (and don't get me wrong -- I'm not out to phone it in, and I enjoy hearing that I've entertained, amused, or outraged others). But I want to be able to look back at what I've done at this point next year and feel that I've accomplished something. Anything else is just gravy.

Also, I'll be playing with different styles and themes. Some movies, like Van Helsing, required lengthy, detailed snark (we'll be seeing another example of that this Friday). Some movies are good enough to require serious reviews (two of the movies this week are good enough to be on my "recommended" list, and deserve to be treated with at least a little respect). That's one of the reasons I abandoned the templates I used for the Friday the 13th/Halloween/Nightmare reviews. You might see those templates reappear if the movie demands it (like the week I finally decide to give the Sleepaway Camp movies the treatment they deserve). But no promises; you'll have to tune in each day to see what direction a review takes me in.
