'song and I caught an episode of Ham on the Street last night, featuring this recipe.

It might be the most intriguing thing I've ever seen not to feature bacon.

That does look fun. I'm also intrigued by the deep-fried Oreo concept.

hee...I'm pretty sure that they're served at the MN State Fair - they'll even put it on a stick for ya, you betcha!

Home of the Deep Fried Food On A Stick! The big thing each year on Minnesota Public Radio's Morning Show is to find out what the current year's new food on a stick is at the fair...we have deep fried macaroni and cheese on a stick, snickers bars on a snick (deep fried of course), deep fried cheese cake on a stick, deep fried pickles on a stick...and way more than I can possibly remember...

And since stuff on a stick is referenced in this song...I give you MPR's State Fair Show - Click on "Anne Reed's State Fair Song" *grin* You'll enjoy it :)

Hmmm... Chocolate chip cookie dough vodka.

Could be the next experiment (http://allah-sulu.livejournal.com/543085.html)...

Those look absolutely decadent and divine. :) When I'm over this stoopod cold and can actually taste something, I may have to make those...

They're not as good as they sound, they get kind of mushy.

Bummer. I actually haven't had any of the deep-fried candy bars or cookies.

I've had a few too many of them, tell the truth. The twinkies are better than you'd expect, my mom said the snickers was kind of good, but kind of weird, and the oreos were dissapointing. I haven't tried the mac and cheese or anything else.

Why couldn't you wrap each dough ball in a strip of bacon before you chill it, and then dip in batter and deep-fry?

Or, or! Better yet: deep fry once, then wrap in bacon and deep-fry again, so the bacon gets crisp, too.

(It's not crazy to deep-fry something twice--the best french fries are done that way.)
