Last night, we* attended [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral's Hot Foods Party, at which my general lack in interest in large groups lost to my interest in food.

I ate copious amounts of more things than I can remember. I'm pretty sure most of the desserts (including a chocolate pudding, [livejournal.com profile] regyt's spicy marshmallows, a mango/jabenero ice cream, the truffles, and [livejournal.com profile] rosefox's amazing brownies) were spicier than many of the main-course entrees. Which isn't to say I didn't love those, either (especially the latkes, which might not have been spicy, but were too good to resist). Of course, I enjoyed plenty of wings, chili, and other good stuffs.

Elayna had fun running around with the other kids, and although she threw up in [livejournal.com profile] jenphalian's car on the way home, I can safely say (thanks to Elayna's steadfast refusal to even try something that might have been in the same room as anything spicy) that it wasn't a reaction to the food.

After getting home, we made [livejournal.com profile] jenphalian and [livejournal.com profile] ian_gunn watch the live-action Fox version of The Tick before everyone got too sleepy. Overall, a fun night (child vomit excluded).
