I know a bunch of you are going, but just to help me keep track, here's a poll.

And, in spite of the fact that the first three answers should cover all possible options, I've provided a whopping two "clicky" answers for those people who need such things.

Also, just a head's up: Although I (finally) have a charger for my cell phone, voice mail is still a serious issue; if we don't pick up, don't assume we'll get your message. Which means that if you want to get ahold of us and the phone's not being answered, email before the con, any sort of message boards at the con, or the old-fashioned "grab us in the hallway" methods are the best way to do so. If you need my cell # (or want me to have yours), drop me an email at my livejournal.com address.

Also #2: Please remember that I'm largely faceblind, and if I walk by you and seem to have no clue who you are, even though we shared a meal together the day before, it's not because I hate you; it's likely because you're wearing different clothing and a baseball cap, or have otherwise changed enough external clues for me to be unsure if you're who I think you are. I remain thankful for name badges. :-)

(And I should note that I'd still prefer that everyone I know follow the 5-2-1 rule; the convenience of recognizing you because you wore the same t-shirt all weekend would be more than outweighed by not being able to stand within three rooms of you)

I will not be attending Boskone. I used to go every year, but at this particular stage in my career, Farpoint (which is held the same weekend) is a more useful convention for me. It sucks -- all things being equal, I'd rather go to both -- but for now, at least, Farpoint is the one.

(To make matters worse, the Gallifrey convention in L.A. is this weekend, and I've always wanted to go to that, but it's always been third on the list....)

For those of use who don't speak con, what's the 5-2-1 rule? I'm guessing it has something to do with what items of clothing you can wear more than once, except I can't think of anything I could wear for five days in a row.

IIRC, 5-2-1 rule = A minimum of 5 hours' sleep, 2 meals, and 1 shower or bath a day.
