Happy Ides of March!
Mar. 15th, 2007 10:42 amGood things about today:
1. It's Elayna's birthday today! One year from now, she'll officially be a teenager! If you want to wish her well, you can do so on this post.
2. We went to Watertown's Band-o-Rama last night -- a joint concert by the elementary, middle, and high-school band and string groups. It was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but School Superintendent Hiersche decided that he didn't want to make parents choose between that and the hs basketball game (which, to be fair, was for the Eastern Mass Championship, and we won) at another school. He initially wanted to cancel it, but people with IQs higher than sixty prevailed, so it was bumped to last night, and it was a lot of fun. Seeing over two hundred kids, ranging from nine to eighteen, playing their hearts out is just a great experience (and the fact that the s Superintendent wanted to break the hearts of that many kids and call it off says volumes about his priorities). Elayna had a blast, and a bunch of her friends were there as well, and also enjoyed themselves.
3. It's Thai Food Thursday at work! Yay!
4. I finally hit level 9 in my current KOL HCO run! Level 8 takes bloody forever.
5. We received a batch of spare comics from
terracinque. Including a bunch of DC's Who's Who and the late '80s TSR/DC stuff (with Gammarauders and Mishkin's damned fine AD&D!). Yay!

5. I'm glad they arrived okay! And it's amazing to me, that simply writing "bound printed matter" on the box reduced the postage from ~$12 to ~$4. I'll write that on all my parcels from now on!
