1. Yes, the RIAA lost a popularity contest to Haliburton! That's like finishing behind Ann Coulter for the Miss Congeniality award.

As noted here, it''s worth remembering that the RIAA is actually a front designed to take the heat off the companies that fund, support, and file lawsuits. It's the folks behind that link who are the real bad guys; the RIAA is just their professional mouthpiece.

2. And there's little more amusing that watching a con artist, after having been publicly caught and humiliated, turn around and sue everyone involved. Defamation claims are always a blast.

3. And don't even get me started on the days-old Kathy Sierra situation. Once your petty blog drama escalates to the point of leaving death threats, that's leagues over the line. And there's something inherently pathetic about folks like Chris Locke -- a longtime blogger, a published author, etc. -- forming internet hate sites against people they don't like. Folks complain about community-centric blog sites like LJ being drama central, but the "grown" up part of the blogosphere isn't any better.
