Birthday Stuffs

shadesong and Elayna got me a whole bunch of nifty stuff, including Pocky, roasted garlic onion jam (from Stonewall Kitchen), a box of Lake Champlain Chocolates (the ones mentioned in Steve Almond's Candyfreak), a ThinkGeek shirt ("Wizard is About to Die; Needs Food Badly"), and Twinkie, Deconstructed, which looks amazing. Elayna is reading the back of the latter in horror; fortunately, she doesn't like Twinkies.

And 'song's birthmom got me a gift card to Target!
(And, as mentioned previously,moominmuppet got me Neon Maniacs!
(I'm assuming that loot from my mom and the in-laws is likely en route. Stupid "no mail on Sundays" rule)
Today's plans are to take it easy. I don't like massive parties or other stressy things; why would I go out of my way to have experience stress on my birthday? So, some time spent cleaning my room and organizing stuff, some time spent watching the Mets game, and some time spent watching Tivo and reading. And maybe some time planning my Presidential bid (can a campaign be built around adding the word "motherfucker" to the national anthem?)
I'm 35, and I'm happy with it.
