Reading that hurt my head. I wish the writer would learn that commas can be used to make sentences less choppy. Oh look, he's infected me. Hemingway impersonator, or just a crappy writer?
I could only get halfway through that "article" before I got too annoyed and had to stop.
I don't watch Sopranos regularly, but I thought the ending was pretty creative. God forbid a show makes people think up an ending for themselves, and not tie everything together with a neat little bow.
This reminds me of the Dune prequels in which most fans claim to hate and despise it and a couple of them on the arrakis board even went so far as to say that they should let the fans decide on the endings through some sort of contest or vote.
Nice that people are so passionate. Stupid that they think they are writers.
"The Nielsen reality is that people don't watch TV closely anymore"? Yeah, that's why The Sopranos was cancelled in the middle of its first season, and there were never TV shows called Heroes or Lost. What planet does this person live on?
It's a not-insignificant alternative weekly. The person might not have gotten paid for those specific words, but they appear to be paid for writing for the paper in general.
I doubt it -- her site is stamped all over with the LA Weekly logo, and the latter site lists her blog entries on the front page. She's definitely getting paid by them and representing them. Which means that I can likely shit on a manuscript and get a nice check from the LA Weekly.
true...there's def connection and plugging, but the blog portion is claimed to be all hers(dubious claim of course...LA Weekly is prob covering the site expenses...she herself is the site registrant though...they def embrace her no matter what...

He just had to throw in a dig at John From Cincinnati, too, which has the guff to be a different kind of show than Deadwood was.
