It makes a weird sort of sense. Pepsi's supposed to be a "crisp, cool" drink and cucumbers are supposed to be a "crisp, cool" food. I've seen cucumber paired up with sweeter notes in some perfumes, so I suppose I can see where Pepsi's going with this.
But still.
My cultural sense of what food should be is squicked.
Can't remember the name of the ice cream place, but I'm pretty sure there was one in Arlington when I last visited my sister - anyhow, they had cucumber ice cream - not sorbet - and it was DELISH.
No, should I? Still.... anything having to do with cucumbers is the work or Da Debbil or the Republican Party. That's my position and I'm sticking by it.
That'd be JP Licks. Still haven't been there, but I've heard stories about how good they are. Alas, cucumber isn't one of their current flavors, according to the website.
And I love cucumber, so I wasn't kidding about being willing to try it anyway. :-)
Toscanini's has also had cucumber sorbet and other fun flavors in the past. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that at Christina's in Inman Square, also.
(The Boston area has an amazingly long list of good ice cream places.)
Oh my god, I took my parents to Christina's the other night, and got Fresh Rose ice cream. I think that I would like to eat nothing else for the rest of my life, please.
Oh must try to find, am obsessed with the flavor of cukes and am a long-time exotic beverage hunter and lover. My fave flavors are rose and cukes, so this with Persian rose syrup in it would be my food fantasy!! Must hunt for it on ebay starting next week!
Just when I thought cucumber couldn't get any worse.

Um. Strange images are forming in my mind. I should go to bed now.

That's the *best*.
And hey, you're looking a little pale...a year ago. I hope you feel better now! You could always try some True Blood...
