yendiI hadn't clicked on the reviews in the latest issue of The Big Click because one of them was for the new Sara Gran novel, and while I suspected they'd be spoiler-free, I couldn't be sure. Now that I've read (and loved) it (more on that when I finally write up the twenty or so books I need to), I've learned that there's also a new John Harwood novel!
I was lucky enough to review his first novel, The Ghost Writer, for Bookslut nearly ten years ago, and I called it the horror "book of the year." I'll have to do a gut check on other 2004 releases to be sure I stand by that (unlike movies, it's often hard to even know what's released in a given year), but it was still a fine novel.
