Regarding this picture of Keira Knightly, I've only got to say two things:

1. If every anyone had a body that practically demanded lots of Pirates of the Caribbean-style thick skirts, crinolines, and gowns*, it's her.

2. Looking like you've just been gassed by The Joker? About the unsexiest thing ever.

*Or a lot of cheeseburgers.

I'm not particularly attracted to Olive Oil girls but word on the street is she's actually pretty muscular. I think some women get a bad rap when they're really just lean. She's a small girl to begin with.

She actually was decently muscular back in the first PotC/BiLB days. As it stands, her body looks about ten pounds too light for her head.

Yeah, she'll never be big, and she's meant to be thin, but this is, frankly, too thin.

I've met her and she's slim, but tiny. I agree that most photos don't make her look particularly good, but my impression of her in person was of someone who was healthy and fit, not anorexic.

As I said in the thread, I blame the photographer more than Keira.

It's really almost impossible to be "unhealthily" thin, assuming stable weight and adequate nutrition.

Yeah, I was thinking "well, she looked a tad thin but healthily muscled in Bend It Like Beckham; when did she get run over by a cartoon steamroller?"

Following the SD Forum link to the Daily WMail article and other photos, my reactions: "holy crap, Joely Richardson looks bad" and "Keira looks a lot less bad in front-on shots than in the 3/4 and profile shots". I'm not sure why the latter; could be the more obvious minimization of her chest, but I think the shoulder position is a factor too.

On the first POTC DVD they reveal that her "cleavage" was in fact courtesy of the makeup crew. I have never felt so vindicated.

i still have her on the top of my "five list" and i like how she looks in that picture. sorry, but thats me. you do what you want. also, please convince the rest of the world that she's not attractive, so that she'll fall madly in love with me and i can send her my ear. or at least i think thats how love works.
