(after the unwatched Nashville, on Fox)

is Viva Laughlin. Anyone surprised? Congrats, CBS!

Oh thank ghods.

I abhor Melanie Griffith. She craps up anything she's in...though, really, there wasn't much she could do to Viva Laughlin to make it worse. But her presence meant I couldn't watch at all, which meant I missed Hugh Jackman...and I adore that man. Especially when he's being goofy and singing.

Kind of amazing that the caveman show is still on...maybe everyone's trying so hard to pretend it isn't happening that they've forgotten it's there in the first place.;)

OH THANK JESUS. It really was literally the worst thing I've ever seen on television. That includes any of those surgery shows on TLC.

Excellent! I had to watch it (because I'm moderating the TWoP forums) and I wasn't sure how I was going to make it. That was amazingly bad. Like, worse than I thought it was going to be, and I thought it would be terrible.

That's not a shock. Why have a musical when you can't hear the actors over the backing track?

TWOP said it right: it's like listening to your parents sing along with the radio.

Haven't seen my DVRed copy yet, but I had a feeling it wouldn't work on this side of the ocean. (Still love Blackpool, tho)

...it must be baaaaaad.

I just couldn't bear seeing that trollopy bimbo with a totally ridiculous voice and the worst plastic lips on the planet whom Antonio Bandaras so fooooolishly married.....so I skipped it.

By the way -- what was the first?

I can't say I'm surprised.

I watched half of the first episode and couldn't finish it. It really was truly dreadful.

And the death of Viva Laughlin means the early return of the one and only reality show that I enjoy -- The Amazing Race!

So... what's your pick for the next cancellation?

Cavemen? Journeyman? Moonlight?
