Bring It On: In it to Win it.

Yes, folks, there's a fourth movie in the series. Starring Ashley Tisdale's little sister.

FWIW, the first movie was actually good and underrated. The others suck and are now heading straight to DVD. Yes, the teen/tween movie genre has aped the slasher movie genre. Happy fucking Halloween.

True story: during production, the second sequel was briefly called Bring It On Yet Again. Oops.

The first Bring It On is, I thought, kind of a stealth film: it sneaks up on you until you start saying "Whoa; this is actually good!" The advertising didn't really convey that. Had the film not been "all that," the thing I'd most remember would be the bikini car wash; instead for me it's moments like Eliza Dusku's entrance (especially wiping off the tattoo), Gabrielle Union's cheerleading team dancing in the stands to challenge Kirsten Dunst's team, and the scary-boots choreographer, and Dunst's growing horror that their competition routine was exactly the same as the previous competing team's. "Prepare for total destruction!" indeed.

Plus it turned me onto Eliza Dushku. Wow and yum and words like that...

Ashley Tisdale's... little sister?

I wonder if the world will be lucky enough for that to mean that she's even more talented than Ashley, the way Jamie Lynn is 100% times better than Britney.

or maybe a reverse Hilary and Haylie Duff situation?

I actually like Ashley, so... yeah...but I always get scared when stars have sisters who also act.

I think Lindsay does too. Or will... somehow.

I think I saw it (on cable) because I was already into her from Buffy, but I was really pleasantly surprised by Bring It On. It's remained one of my guilty pleasure movies ever since.
