Kevin Dubrow, lead singer of Quiet Riot, has died. :-(

Metal Health was one of my favorite albums when I was growing up.

Not a good thing, even if my favorite QR album was one without Dubrow. Also love the earlier material with Randy, mostly for the extended guitar solos. And Quinn the Eskimo.

The rest - especially Metal Health - was just pure fun, and that's the way it was supposed to be.

Holy shit. He did the best Noddy Holder imitation I've ever heard -- QR's Slade covers were amongst the few ever I've never had any complaints about.

While I'm without a computer (it died, if you didn't see) I decided to hook up the cable modem to the piece of junk spare that is for basically playing Solitaire and to be... well, the spare.

The thing was set to load MSN.com when I opened IE and the first thing I saw was "Kevin Dubrow has died" and I was "If I wasn't starting a new job tomorrow I would swear the world was conspiring to make me more and more sad."
