I love the AVP series in comics and I LOVE the fact the movie series has kept to the strong female protaganist the comics always protrayed. It's one of the few comic to movie tranisition that has actually stated true to the original idea.
Plus who can argue with aliens bursting out of people's chests and Predators slicing people down!? Its a gore fest for both Sci-Fi and Horror genres.
I agree about the strong female protagonist. I haven't read much of the comics though I have read the two novels and really enjoyed them. Of course it remains to be seen (based purely on that 5-minute clip) if AvP:R will have a female protagonist.
Happy to see the alien take on aspects of the host. Wondering if that will give it any new abilities, or how much of the Predator skill is in the armor?
I saw a chic with a big gun shooting madly in the preview...and that is all I ask...a sole female survivor or at least a woman pushed to resolve the dispute with a huge phallic blasting machine.
