A techno-dance version of Hava Negila. Lots of jarring musical juxtopositions, and equal amounts of visual ones (if we'd had someone in this miniskirt dancing at my Bar Mitzvah, it would have been the most memorably party of the year).

We always had the same hideous small orchestra playing standards so bubbe and zeyde would get to dance to music they were time-trapped in, and have to endure Bei Mir Bist Du Schon" by Connie Francis if it was a DJ'ed event (rare) and all the teens and kids would sneak off for cigarettes and wish they were not so uncomfortable and had not unknowingly ate the kishka.
