Spent most of December distracted by Crimbo content (which was perfectly doable in Bad Moon, btw), but am now back on track. Killed my shadow with the last turn of the day, and will hopefully make it through the familiars tomorrow.

Incidentally, even with the nifty Crimbo items (laser batteries for insta-kills, the Crimborg Destroyer to weaken nasty opponents), the Sauceror run has been a pain. I'm definitely doing my Turtle Tamer run next and putting off he Pastamancer run until later. So not a fan of Myst classes in this setting.

On my Sauceror oxycore run (which I'm still doing, after the Crimbo stuff), I've found the Whirling Maple Leaf to be most useful. As this isn't really an option in Bad Moon, would the Ghuol Whelp or the Howling Balloon Monkey be the better choice of familiar?

(Star Starfish would be ideal, but available so late in the run as to be Not An Option.)

Yeah, even with all the changes that NS-13 made that were aimed at making classes Fight Like Themselves (Muscle classes use the melee weapons, Moxie classes use the ranged weapons) I still find that there are large sections of any Mys class run that you don't do Mys-style unless you want it to take forever.

I just finished my first moxie class run (it was only my 4th ascension), and I was amazed at how easily I defeated the sorcerer. I also took the time to get the Order of the Holy Wossername, so between that and the crimbo content I was level 16 by the time I ascended.

I'm now on my first seal clubber run, although I have done turtle tamer.

I started out with Myst. classes, and really liked them, although maybe it was just that it was my first perspective on the game.
