Vosges has a Flying Chocolate Pig! And yes, it's got the same bacon and chocolate combo that the Mo's Bacon Bar has.

I've heard about it, but I'm not overly intrigued; part of what makes bacon wonderful is the texture. That said, I do like the artificial bacon flavor Morningstar uses for their strips; if the sale tastes anything like that, it might be worthwhile.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, bacon is an honorary vegetable anyway. At least, that's how I handled things when I spent two years living a near-vegetarian lifestyle. :-)

I'm considering getting for Husband, who loves milk chocolate (philistine) and loves bacon. However, he's not the most adventurous eater in the world in terms of flavor combinations. So have you actually tried any of the bacon-chocolates and does the combination of flavors taste good?

It tastes quite good, actually! It's a little odd to wrap your head around, I will say, but well worth it. You just have to get used to pulling bacon shred s out of your teeth after eating chocolate :)

I had gotten one of the flying pigs for my father-in-law instead of a rabbit in his Easter basket this year. He was highly entertained, and enjoyed it immensely.

I love them! The milk chocolate is on the darker side of the spectrum, btw, so it's actually pretty damned good.

That said, the bacon truffle (which is only available in stores, or as a part of an expensive set) is better than the bacon bar, imho.
