Honestly, I wish CI would do more episodes like that. I mean, they have been, but they usually save them for season openers and closers, but the show would benefit immensely from more personal and political (as in office politics) stories. (I'm still peeved that they haven't followed up on the rat in Goren's desk....)

I'm with you there. Much as I love the standalones, I also want a sense that what happens has an effect on the characters. I don't want a soap, mind you, but at its best, CI can be as good as a non-ensemble version of Homicide. I wish they'd strive for that more often.

I just wish he'd taken that bitch DA down with him. But yeah, it was sad to see him go, but I liked his swan song better than Green's on the original.

I just screened the season finale and . . . wow.

It's one of the personal Goren ones.

I hope commercials and press releases and other critics don't spoil any of it for anyone. (Seriously, avoid that stuff if you can.)
