1. We got to see Jane Yolen at the Watertown Public Library yesterday! She was, as always, charming and witty. If you have a chance to see her, do so (her remaining tour dates include Wellesley today, Harvard Square and Rockport tomorrow, and Falmouth on Monday).

2. Not Your Average Joe's is now serving breakfast on weekends! Mind you, we're in no financial condition to afford it right now, but it's nice to have yet another Watertown breakfast option, and if it's as good as everything else NYAJ does, I'll be very happy (since I don't see a mention on the website, though, it might only apply to the H20Town location).

3. I'm almost caught up to my daughter in Disgaea, which, you know, I only introduced her to a week ago. Kids today and their "leveling up."

4. The Mets are (ever so slightly, and likely briefly) in first place again.

5. Getting to read some wonderfully candid thoughts on what went into this week's ad-driven (yet still good) election episode of Eureka (note that this last one spoils the episode, so if you didn't watch it yet, hold off).

Arggh! They're Everywhere! ;)

From Cust Review:
"There is even a a unit character one can recruit that is nothing but demonic servants in the shape of penguins that are called Prinnies and who always say "dood!'."

I suspect I will be missing the NYAJoes spinach and pear salad for some time to come. Or at least until I figures out how to make it for myself. :)

A NYAJ opened recently close to us. You recommend it? What's a don't miss thing to get there?
