Of course, they've already spent a few hundred million going after the cats, and that can't be recovered, but clearly, there's no need to keep paying salaries to these assholes.

This whole story has given me the anime vein for months. I'm glad it's finally resolved itself well, although without the eminently satisfying "all involved bureaucrats rounded up and turned into Fancy Feast" ending I had hoped to see.
