Weird use of Twitter

So, a few days ago, I twitted an annoyed letter to Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry about his lack of knowledge regarding pot roasts.

Seconds later, I saw a reply pop up quoting it verbatim.

Turns out there's a Twitter account called DearRobot whose sole function is work as a bot, collecting and republishing any Tweet that begins with "Dear."

There's no advertising associated with this (not even a link to a homepage). I have no idea what the purpose of it is; I'm assuming it might just be a school project ("write a bot that interacts with a social media app" or somesuch). Still, it's a little weird.

Pot roasts absolutely take 3+ hours to cook. And that's just the braising part.
