Strongly suspect that I'm getting sick. The question is, am I getting sick with something viral, or is it an infection? Since my symptoms (stuffiness, sore throat, ear pain, slight chills) tend to apply to either one, and I don't have a thermometer in the office with which to take my temperature, I'm not sure.

Popping two Ibuprofen to get through the rest of the day, and avoiding breathing on people as much as possible. Fortunately, our boss provides us all with bottles of Purell.

If I were really smart, I'd switch from drinking free coffee to drinking free green tea (the Flavia machine has both options). But I'm not sure I'm ready for that drastic a step.

Eww, Flavia. I'd switch to the green tea just because their coffee is vile.

The difference between a viral infection and a bacterial one is usually that the latter produces dense colored sputum. For the former, your nose may run, but the fluid will be thinner and generally clear.
