Honestly, I don't even need a trailer... I've seen every Pixar movie opening weekend and see no reason to stop anytime soon.
That said, I was surprisingly entertained by that trailer -- so many of their advance trailers suck terribly. I'm betting that, as per usual with them, this one tells us almost nothing about what the story's really about. :)
The advance trailer for the Incredibles with Mr. Incredible trying on his belt was a severely non-funny moment for me in the world of Pixar trailers. I thought for certain I wouldn't want to see the movie....then I had a bit of luck in seeing a much better clip at Comic-con and changed my mind.
But Bolt isn't Pixar. I believe that it is Disney animation...the people who brought us Chicken Little. I have no intention of paying to see Bolt in the theatre. Up, though - now that's a different story.
The ads say Disney-Pixar, and the animation style seems to be using Pixar technology. But yeah, there seems to be more of Disney than Pixar in it, based on the dialogue I've seen in the trailers. :P
It's not Pixar, but John Lasseter did fire Chris Sanders off the film, giving it a weird hybrid pedigree.
Of course, Sanders made Lilo and Stich, which was one of my favorite traditional Disney films in recent years, so I'm a little nervous. Then again, the messed-up production/changing horses in mid-stream thing worked for The Emperor's New Groove.
Then again, neither of those movies had Miley Cyrus.
