'song often (as in, always) writes "pony" on the shopping list, and will usually shout "pony" whenever I say I'm heading to the store and ask if she needs anything.

Last night, we saw this commercial on TV:

It's cute for the flashback segment, then devolves into HOLY SHIT STUPID AND INSULTING when it gets to the part about buying a Lexus as a holiday gift. But the pony part is cute, at least.

As someone who is deathly allergic to horses, however, I much prefer this one, run by Verizon last year:

We have horses near us (in the city!!), and there's a mini pony at the "free puppy farm" (I swear, 6 or 7 times a year, there's a sign out). I love driving by there.

yeah I wanted a pony too until I finally got to ride one when I was ten and found out how ornery and stubborn and NOT FUN they were. Horses got it all over ponies. My parents finally relented by paying for riding lessons and sending me to horse camp. Best time evar!

I loved that Verizon commercial and I really don't say that about too many commercials. I always liked how fast the girl answers her friend when she asks, "Does he bite?" "Oh yeah!" heh, heh, heh.

Isn't it every girls wish to have a pony (or a horse?)

I tell people "pony" or "monkey" when they ask what I want from the store as well. Preferably they'd get me a monkey that is RIDING a pony...

Be careful what you ask for!

Hu had an employee back in Memphis who would shout 'Pony' every time Hu would ask politely if he could bring him anything (when, say, running over to the cafeteria). So Hu and I started buying him My Little Ponies- lots of them. He never could explain that to his new boss after Hu left ('why do you have lots of pink ponies all over the place?')

Whenever hubby and I are having a tense discussion (ie. one that may or may not lead to an argument), I have been known to shout, "Look, a pony!" to distract him from his points.
