Sadly, I think that THG was overlooked because SF fandom simply isn't as aware of it (whereas Doctorow, Scalzi, and Gaiman, of course, all have very legitimate SF creds). Had more voters read it, I could see an alternate Hugos featuring five YA books (with Pratchett's very deserving Nation nabbing a slot, too).
