So at home, where I'm running OS 9, I've only got one client available to me (Phoenix, a pretty nifty one). Turns out that OSX, my work OS, has three clients to choose from (as well as a carbonized version of Phoenix). I'm torn between Yaxjournal, which has spellchecking and the ability to edit old journal entries, both features I like, and iJournal, which can do "grab the current song from iTunes" and, more importantly, has WYSIWYG editing. Yax looks prettier, but the WYSIWYG thing is kind of a deal-breaker for me. After all, if I'm ranting about reading a book, I don't want to waste precious time typing in a bracket and a "u". :-)

So, have I mentioned that I think that Barnes (John, not Steven) is simply one of the best damned science fiction writers out there? I'm really liking Merchants of Souls. Not a good place to start, as Barnes novels go, but one of his most polished works.

There's officially one day left until the Olympics. Which means my not-giving-a-rat's-ass can shift from an anticipatory mode to an active mode. I'l rant about them at some point, I'm sure, when the hype gets to me.

Anyway, off to read for a bit.
