Elayna is watching Mulan right now. Have I mentioned that I believe that this is the best Disney flick of the '90s? It's got great songs (even if they ruined the pop version of Reflection by having Christina Aguilslutra sing it instead of the wonderful Lea Salonga), a great Goldsmith score, a lead character worthy for Elayna to emulate, good sidekicks, the only good use of Donny Osmond ever, and a damned good plot. Much as I enjoyed Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, this was my fave (remember, The Little Mermaid was pre-1990, and Flounder is an annoying little piece of pre-sushi anyway).

On the down side, we just found out that Elayna's grandparents bought her Cinderella 2: Electric Boogaloo for her birthday. The very existence of that movie makes me want to strap Michael Eisner into that castration machine from Ice Pirates. Or just slice him to death with the dvds of C2, Little Mermaid 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, etc.
