So I'm currently formatting the laptop so I can install OSX on it (it needs a good formatting, anyway). In the meantime, I'm sitting here with the desktop G4 playing "All You Zombies," by the Hooters. Gods, the '80s rocked. We've just moved on to "Don't take My Car Out Tonight."

Chorus of "Don't take my car out tonight":

"You told me we live in the shadows/You told me to hide from the light/But the last thing you said/keeps running through my head/Just don't take my car out tonight."

Yes, it's Pitch Black meets The Fast and the Furious. The Hooters knew about the entire oevre of Vin Diesel twenty years ahead of time.

So, looking through the folks who have added me as a friend, I can account for most everybody:

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong is be One True Love, Reason for Being, etc. And I pulled her into LJ in the first place.

[livejournal.com profile] melintur, [livejournal.com profile] tikimama, [livejournal.com profile] ariadnesthread, [livejournal.com profile] bellacrow, [livejournal.com profile] bethynyc, [livejournal.com profile] deus_x, [livejournal.com profile] dlscanlon, [livejournal.com profile] gothwalk, [livejournal.com profile] kajivar, [livejournal.com profile] mousegrrl, [livejournal.com profile] one_woman_army, [livejournal.com profile] phantom_wolfboy, [livejournal.com profile] ravenswing90, [livejournal.com profile] seanchaibear, [livejournal.com profile] tanaise, [livejournal.com profile] technopagan, [livejournal.com profile] two_star, and [livejournal.com profile] wintersweet are all folks I know through Tamson House.

[livejournal.com profile] darkerdays most likely found me through [livejournal.com profile] kellinator, who I met through the English Department at Emory, but really know as a result of LJ.

[livejournal.com profile] darkmattr and [livejournal.com profile] edie22 I know through 'song in real life, of course.

[livejournal.com profile] heman I know thanks to Kellinator. Everyone should read his journal.

[livejournal.com profile] laurel ran the first listserv I ever belonged to that felt like a true community, and was the person who gave me my LJ referral code.

[livejournal.com profile] micks I found as a result of 'song finding him, and I suspect he found me as a result of my showing up in his friends list.

But that leaves three of you who added me without knowing anything about me. So I'm curious, for [livejournal.com profile] blue_kitty121, [livejournal.com profile] lacaba (who did mention the common interest in '80s music), and [livejournal.com profile] sexyshrooma, what about my journal (or me) was so interesting? That's not to put you on the spot, of course -- if you'd rather not answer, that's cool. I'm just curious.
