Well, we're back!
Amazingly, the journey wasn't too bad.

shadesong's sister got home on time, and drove us to the airport. No traffic at all. We kissed Elayna good-bye (the poor sweetie was exhausted -- she'd woken up at 5:30, after going to bed at 9, and I'd been swimming with her for over an hour).
No security line at the airport. So we have two hours to sit on our butts and read, which we do. We got our seats changed so we were sitting next to each other, as well.
No delays getting on the plane, and a pretty smooth journey.
John was at the airport, although not where we'd expected, which led to the one five-minute delay of the night. No traffic on the way home, either.
And no we're here. And the house feels empty, and we're exhausted, and I'm sunburnt, so I won't be making any real posts tonight, but I wanted to let everyone know that we're alive and well.
