Woke up about half an hour ago after major fucking nightmares. No, I have no idea what they were about -- I never ever remember dreams. All I know is, something scared the hell out of me.

I'll be a fucking wreck tomorrow, of course. :-/

Fortunately, the meetings I'll be in all morning will have caffeine at them.

And no matter how tired I am, no way in hell am I going to pass up the preview pass we have for Signs tomorrow night. :-)

But I bet I'll be crashing hard as soon as we get home.

From Zentertainment:

JUSTICE LEAGUE Returning in September
-
The CARTOON Network will air a 90-minute JUSTICE LEAGUE movie
on Saturday, September 7th, in which to stop Vandal Savage from
taking over the world, the team travels back in time to team up
with Sgt. Rock and the Blackhawks.
New episodes of JL will air Saturday nights through September,
with two-parters featuring the Injustice League (Lex Luthor,
Joker, Ultra-Humanite, Solomon Grundy, Shade, Star Sapphire,
Cheetah, Copperhead) and sorceress Morgan Le Fey.

Excellent news, since I was getting sick of the re-runs (and since Dwayne McDuffie, who wrote the best episodes of season one, is story editor on season two).

I love most of the characters named. The thing is, in the DCU, Morgan Le Fey is directly tied in to Jason Blood/Etrigan (The Demon). Which could make for some damned interesting stuff.

And I hope that at the Injustice League meeting, Solomon Grundy asks for pants.

Well, the nice thing about being up all night is getting the chance to finally see that Weezer video with the Muppets. Three times (thanks to MuchMusic, VH1, and MTV2). Damned fun video. You just can't go wrong with Muppets.

Of all the songs running through my head, why do I have "In Your Room," by the Bangles? I mean, it's hardly the first song anyone things of when they harken back to the days of Banglemania, and I haven't heard it for years.

Mind you, Susanna Hoffs was one of the people who got me through puberty (and I'd watch anything she was in, not counting The All-Nighter, which was actually completely unwatchable, even by lab rats), but you'd think I'd be flashing back to something I've actually heard somewhat recently.

Just got out from the Signs screening.

Wow.

Jesus fucking Christ Wow.

Wow with a cherry on top.

This was fucking amazing.

Minority Report is now a distant second as the best film of the summer.

Very distant.

Seriously, this was an amazing movie. You must see it. Friday. Before any asshole spoils any of it. If anyone comes up and attempts to describe any plot detail at all, you must hit them, hard. Do not let them spoil it for you.

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong says she can't bear to watch it again. I have to.

I haven't been this stunned since walking out of a movie theatre since the first time I saw Fight Club.

Once again, Wow.

Okay, the one hour of sleep I got is catching up. Finally coming down from the amazing movie high. Bedtime beckons.
