So, I'm back.

I was going to write a long, rambling post summarizing the last few days. Decided to scrap it. Not every thought needs to be written down. The funeral went as well as could be, the wedding was a nice coda to the week, and I ate a lot of food. The trip back was fine, and I'm back in the routine of things now.

Not much else to say. I'm not attempting to catch up on a week's worth of LJ, but I should be back in the thick of things soon.

Dar Williams is coming to Atlanta! May 30, at the Variety! Tix aren't on sale yet (and neither the Variety nor Dar's page is mentioning it yet), but I will be there!

And Richard Thompson is also coming to the Variety! Sometime earlier in May!

Westfield, already the best mail-order comic company I've dealt with, earned extra cool points with us, as they extended the deadline this month, allowing us to make our order (we were way broke). So, our order for June (with some annotations):

comics rambling ahead. )

As some of you know, when I was in high school, I spent two summers at the Duke University Young Writers' Camp. It was one of the best times of my life, for more reasons than I could possibly go into (almost none of which involve writing), but part of what made the summers so great was the number of good friendships that I developed there.
personal rambling -- probably nothing of interest here )
