From Steven Rea's review of Dumb and Dumberer in the Philly Inquirer:

As prequels go, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd is right up there with Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace -- long, lumbering and endlessly unfunny.

In honor of the national holiday, I thought I’d make the final quiz all about my favorite slasher series.

Wow! You guys got all but one question. Which surprises me, since I thought the Richard Elfman one was easier than some of the others. Richard directed two films. One was the cute but forgettable Shrunken Heads. But the other was the nifty and always on cable Modern Vampires, starring Udo Kier, Robert Pastorelli, Kim Cattrall, Casper Van Dien, Rod Steiger, and Natasha Gregson Wagner (who is very high on my list of Future Mrs. [livejournal.com profile] yendis). It's a fun film, if not a good one (rent it or watch it on HBO, don't shell out cash for it).

The extended version of Chicago, with the "Class" number that was cut, is being released on the big screen in July before it comes out on DVD! Woohoo!

I've had all sorts of editors in chief, and my last two of have been great (Jessa moreso than Nick, in that I get the impression that Jessa actually reads my columns, and even asks for revisions, something I actually like). But I've had some assholes. And I just discovered that one who had already shown himself to be an asshole in all sorts of ways (mostly private, hence the lack of any laundry posting previously) felt the need to do his own public refutation of one of my reviews, which I only discovered when I went to find it to create some tear sheets. Nothing to be done -- this is someone I'd long ago written off, and my review is still technically intact -- but it just pisses me off.
