Random musical jumps and other stuff
Oct. 5th, 2004 10:25 amGotta love moving from "Joxer the Mighty" to this song. Randomness knows no limits!
You know what's frustrating? Starting a good book (in this case, the latest Scott Nicholson novel, The Manor, which is another haunted house novel,
dixie!), getting just enough into it to be hooked, only to have a book that's one you've been looking forward to for ages arrive in the mail (the latest Pratchett, Going Postal). Looks like I've got lots of reading to do this week.
The Baseball playoffs start today! And my Mets are somehow not in them. Who'd have thunk it?
As always, I'll be rooting against teams (Yankees and Braves) more than rooting for anyone.
It's the moment you've been waiting for: Caffeinated Beer!
Oh, wait, it's from Amheuser-Busch. That would make if caffeinated piss!
(And yes, I know there are other caffeinated beers on the market.)
Oh, hey -- Steve Ballmer says that iPod users are all thieves. Coming from Microsoft, that's rich.
As for today's poll, here's a tough one:
[Poll #361358]
Legally, of course, if you haven't seen all of these movies at least once, you can't call yourself a movie fan (although you may be forgiven on the Dark Passage front if you can prove ownership of at least three others on DVD). And at least sixteen states have statues on file that consider shooting anyone who says, "but I thought Harrison Ford played Linus" to be a mercy killing .
