Miss Kid is off from school and in the office with me today. Normally, I'd say that this would mean I'd be less productive, but it's the day before Thanksgiving. Who am I kidding?

Two items gleaned from the most recent TV Guide: First, USA is remaking Kojak. With Ving Rhames! And second, UPN has picked up Veronica Mars for the entire season! Woot!

Last night's Scrubs? Amazingly fun. Perry's got some damned good directorial skills, as some of those lines required perfect timing. Loved the Wings jokes, too.

We also finished watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night. What an amazingly good film.

How's this for horrifying: Homebuilding company buries a "no-complaint" clause in their contracts. Since I never signed shit with them, let me say: Mercedes Homes is the corporate equivalent of a giant flaming asshole.

Speaking of corporations screwing over folks, Verizon doesn't want too many folks to have access to free/cheap wi-fi. Not when they can get the government to pass pork-bills that force customers to buy it from them instead.

In an example of a corporation that's getting screwed over, MV Creations (licensee for He-Man and company that got screwed hard and heavy by Mark "Asshole" Alessi and his Fucked Up Crossgen Follies) is in trouble.

Long weekend starts in a few hours. Thankfully.

I adore Tony Bourdain's writing, and his tv show. Gotta love his current interview:

The most dangerous nuclear weapon is fast food. We should have opened up chains across Iraq and Afghanistan. How could Osama bin Laden get into the hole if he couldn't get his fat ass into it?

Abduction by c-section. Reminds me about the classic kidney-stealing urban legend, but this one really happened.

The Stray Cats have a new album! Woohoo!

Okay, it's actually a live album with only one new studio song, but I'm still pleased.

I also love the fact that Amazon claims it's "this is the #95 Early Adopter Product in Alternative Rock." Because nothing says "early adopter" like a rockabilly band that's been around for over twenty years.
