But why is the Internet gone?

So, today? University nailed with a DDoS attack. Which meant no network, no email, no LJ, and lots of chances to fall behind on the fucking upgrade project (which is due to take place this weekend).

This, in turn, spiraled into my needing to work on documentation tonight (and lo, the irony of my home connection being the good one). Which means missing the free Guinness opportunity I was offered.

No, I haven't read LJ today, and have no intention of reading it -- catching up would be nigh-impossible. Catching up on email is bad enough, but email me if there's anything really really important I need to know (like how I can get ahold of a good hockey mask/machete combo, because I need catharsis).

Mailbox is at 1100 messages, and that's after a good chunk of time cleaning it.

This is going to be one hell of a week.

Warning for West-Coast Gilmore Girl fans

The WB, pigfuckers all, decided to run Gilmore Girls long tonight without any notice in the guide, so our Tivo cut off a minute or two early. So if you're on the West Coast, set your DVR to go a few minutes long.

And if anyone has a .mov file and/or a transcript of the final minute or so (basically, starting with the scene in the diner with Luke and Lorelai), I'd love a copy.

And please, if you know any WB execs, smack them for me.
